Our History

On August 1, 1996 Dr. W. This practice was the first board certified single-specialty cardiology practice in Greenwood, South Carolina and provided general cardiology services, diagnostic cardiac catheterization and pacemaker implantation in partnership with Self Regional Healthcare.

Six years later, Dr. Paul Kim joined the practice having completed his training at the Texas Heart Institute in Houston, bringing with him interventional cardiology capabilities which included angioplasty and coronary stent implantation. A year after in 2003, Dr. Rollo Villareal, also having trained at the Texas Heart Institute, joined the practice bringing electrophysiology services to our seven county service area
