This test is designed to determine how efficiently your heart is pumping blood. During this test, we will draw some of your blood, and "tag" it with a radioactive isotope. Your "tagged" blood will then be re-injected, and this will allow us to take pictures of the chambers of your heart. These pictures should take about 20 minutes to complete. Your doctor can then visualize how well your heart pumps. The whole procedure should take about an hour to an hour and a half.
